The British Library and the social sciences
Abstract
The conference considered national library provision in the social sciences, both the present situation and future prospects and possibilities. Present services, as offered by the British Museum, the National Central Library, the National Lending Library for Science and Technology and the British National Bibliography were reviewed, and ways in which services should be developed as part of the new British Library were considered.
