Abstract

The regeneration and further use of many otherwise waste lubricating oils, assumes a matter of some importance in the light of present costs of oils and the possibilities of still further rises. Lubricating oil that has been in use in internal combustion engines for only normal periods of time and under normal conditions of operation, can very well be regenerated and used again as make up. Should it be thought, for many special reasons, that this is not a suitable procedure, there is still no reason to waste this oil after sump draining, as ther are many uses industrially where it could satisfactorily be employed after regeneration.
