Abstract

The rapid assessment of rale of wear of engine parts by radioactive methods is proving of great value in connection with the testing of lubricating oils. The two papers below were presented at the recent Summer Meeting of the Society of Automotive Engineers at Atlantic City, New Jersey, and show the advantages of this method over the more conventional physical and chemical wear tests.
