Plant Value Improved by Lubrication
Abstract
EVEN after large schemes of plant modernisation involving the installation of new machinery and the rebirth of old, there are still many items of plant which, because of shortages of replacement parts or lack of capital with which to replace them, are doing necessary work but inefficiently and at low rates of production. The answer, to Management's queries as to how best to improve productivity and reduce running costs with the minimum of outlay, is, in many cases, lubrication. The paramount role played by lubrication in industry is undoubtedly its application to old plant. The outlay is relatively small; the benefits may be enormous.
