THE LUBRICATION OF TURBINE GEARING
Abstract
THE SUBJECT OF GEAR LUBRICATION is extremely involved, with many variables to be taken into consideration and, as would be expected, there are wide differences of opinion concerning the most suitable design, materials, the degree of accuracy in gear cutting required, the highest tooth pressures which can safely be carried, the most suitable surface and core hardness and, last but not least, the most suitable lubricant.
