Abstract

THIS IS A SUBJECT where the principle “prevention is better than cure” manifests itself. In these days of the highly trained craftsman and the necessity for increased productivity, one of the most important problems of a Production Manager is the maintenance of the health of his employees and the reduction of absenteeism. Iudustrial dermatitis is one of the causes of absenteeism. Since it is not a notifiable disease, complete statistics of its prevalence are not available. However, it has been estimated that 70% of all time lost from occupational diseases originates from industrial dermatitis.
