Abstract

THE illustration is of the new‐headquarters of the Wakefield Castrol Oil Group, which was occupied in the middle of November. The removal operation took place over the weekend from the previous offices in Grosvenor Street to this new building in Marylebone W.1. The new building covers a site of nearly an acre and is of an unusual and imposing design. The whole of the island site is covered to a height of three floors and above this, at the western end, a twelve storey glass tower reaches a height of 168 feet. At night, this tower is floodlit internally through opaque green glass panels.
