TEST SEQUENCE IV—CAM AND TAPPET SCUFFING
Abstract
Test Sequence IV is a test technique accepted by Section G‐IV of Technical Committee B of ASTM Committee D‐2 in October, 1959, as one of a series of test sequences to be used for evaluating oils for API Service SIS. This simple laboratory test is claimed to determine in a relatively short time, the adequacy of engine lubricating oil antiscuff properties.
