Abstract

FARM equipment must be rugged and only need minimum attention—farmers do not normally have maintenance departments and they expect their equipment to give years of trouble free constant service without breakdown. It is true that modern farmers are maintenance wise, and lubrication routines are frequently carefully observed, but parts repair is usually a job for the manufacturer, and therefore is serious at inconvenient times.
