FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH in an INDUSTRIAL WORLD
Abstract
I am sure that everyone who has come here tonight is aware that Imperial College is an institution dedicated to both Science and Technology. I hope to investigate some of the implications of this double dedication, as indeed I have been ever since I came to the College. This dual dedication is implicit in the title of my lecture—Fundamental Research in an Industrial World.
