ON‐THE‐SPOT TEST KIT FOR IN‐SERVICE LUBRICATING OILS

Abstract

THE testing of in‐service lubricating oils can form an important part of preventive maintenance. Oil companies offer this service as part of a contract when a customer is buying sufficient oil to cover it, or a sufficient price is paid to allow laboratory tests to be made at frequent intervals, eg in the case of turbine oils at power stations.
