Abstract

WHEN reliability under stress of a metal fabrication, such as that involved in the building of a nuclear power station or oil rig, depends on the quality of a welding operation, it is not surprising that Lloyd's Register of Industrial Services, whose inspectors pass the finished job, should be keenly interested in any technological development contributing to fault‐free workmanship.
