Engine protection against explosive vapours

Abstract

A system for averting gas exlosions caused by engine ignitions has been introduced by a Sussex‐based company, Pyroban. The idea behind this project originated in ICI, following the 1969 Wilton disaster, in which a diesel engine ignited a leak of cyclohexane.
