ABSENTEEISM — A PROBLEM THAT IS ALWAYS PRESENT

Abstract

Why are some workers chronic absentees while others are rarely absent from their jobs? Where is absenteeism highest and why? The growing phenomenon of factory absenteeism is of considerable concern to IFM members but discussions of the subject must remain purely academic until a factually‐based, scientific study of the problem is carried out on a wide scale.
