Abstract

Just over half the United Kingdom's food requirements are produced within the United Kingdom or about two‐thirds of all the kinds of food that can be grown in our climate. The opposite tables show the main sources from which selected items of food were obtained in 1973 and 1974, together with averages for the three‐year period 1964–66.
