Abstract

I am more than delighted that in recent years tourism has leapt into the limelight, and is now looked upon as an important industry which is capable of great development. I feel that it is important that we should visualise tourism as an industry if we are to get a clear picture of the role of the various interests concerned. I think it will help if we look upon the tourism industry as an industry similar to any other industry in the commercial world, where a certain article is turned out in the factory for sale to a customer.
