Thirty-three per cent of 'Europe's 500' entrepreneurs plan to go public within the next three years

Thirty-three per cent of Europe's 500 entrepreneurs plan to go public within the next three years

Based on the initial study of Europe's fastest growing and most dynamic entrepreneurial companies included in the 1997 Europe's 500 Honorary Listing, 14 per cent of these companies are already trading publicly on the stock exchange, in most cases on their respective national exchange (see Figure 2).

However, 58 per cent of those who are not yet on the stock exchange, are already developing plans to go public, while a third (33 per cent) of those dynamic entrepreneurs project that they will go public within the next three years.

The second part of Europe's 500 1997 Listing Project, the Research Report & Success Stories will be launched during Europe's 500 workshop entitled "Going Public". For further information please contact: Nikki Walker. Tel: +32 2 743 1552; Fax: +32-2 743 1550; E-mail: nikki@associationhq.com
