This issue houses three research papers, two conference reports and two book reviews. In her paper, Cynthia Forson critically examines the implications of the national framework for women's enterprise (the Strategic Framework for Women's Enterprise, SFWE) for minority ethnic and black women in the UK. The paper argues that heterogeneity of women needs to be attended in formulating strategies for encouraging female entrepreneurship.

Reflecting on interviews with a small group of African American women and men, Gail Dawson explores biculturalism and partial inclusion in their lived experiences at work. Dawson demonstrates that these workers are disillusioned with their experience of partial inclusion. The findings of the study reveal double partial inclusion, a concept introduced in this paper. Amy E. Hurley-Hanson and Cristina M. Giannantonio's paper examine image norms in the context of recruitment. The paper provides a model through which the authors illustrate the effect of image norms on recruiters' assessment of candidates in the recruitment process.

The two reports in the issues overview two conferences on Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Workers – Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Workplace and Advancing Diversity through Research, Teaching, and Service at the Academy of Management Conference in Atlanta. There are also two book reviews. Understanding and Managing Diversity: Readings, Cases, and Exercises which is authored by Carol P. Harvey and M.’June Allard. (2005, Third Edition, Pearson Prentice Hall) is reviewed by Linda Benbow and Not Just Getting By: The New Era of Flexible Workforce Development, authored by Mary L. Gatta, in collaboration with Kevin P. McCabe (2005, Lanham, MD: Lexington Books) is reviewed by Virginia Doellgast.
