Thirteen projects announced in US co-operation programme

Thirteen projects, worth a total 1.63 million euros, have been announced for funding under the EU education co-operation programme with the USA. The projects involve 46 higher-education and vocational-training institutions from 12 EU member states and an equivalent number of US partner institutions. More than 800 US and European students will take part in the programmes over the next three years. The programmes cover themes as diverse as architecture, textile engineering and electronic commerce.
This latest selection brings the current programme of exchanges to a close. Some 56 consortia, involving more than 400 EU and US institutions and over 4,000 students, will have taken part by 2003.
