A new one hour fire-rated modular partitioning system, designed to create safe, secure offices, workshops, clean rooms. production and storage areas in a wide range of industrial and commercial premises, has been introduced by industrial safety specialist Troax Lee Manufacturing, a member of the Gunnebo Group.

The Excalibur range of double-skinned one-hour fire-rated partitioning panels is constructed in solid, full steel or alternatively a steel version incorporating double glazed panels is also available.

Solid partitioning panels are of monobloc construction comprising two steel skins separated by an inert mineral wool insulating infill and both the steel and steel/double glazed versions satisfy the fire resistance integrity criteria specified in BS: 476, Part 22: 1987 for a period of 60 minutes.

Versatile and easy to install, the system's modular design allows a wide range of dimensions to be created, including multi-tiered configurations, in order to meet the customer's precise operational requirements. The system is also fully demountable making it simple to relocate and so providing maximum flexibility.

Panels are available in widths from 300mm to 900mm and up to 3,657mm in height and are completely interchangeable. Fire-rated single or double leaf hinged doors can also be supplied.

The Excalibur system has full cable management facilities and has also been certified for sound reduction to BS 5821; Part l: 1984. Partitions are supplied in an epoxy powder coated paint finish in a range of colours.
