CIOB Scotland good building awards

Keywords Buildings, Awards

The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) announce the winners of this year's Good Building Awards. The awards, held in The Lighthouse Building, Glasgow on 2 November 1999, form part of the Saltire Society Awards for Housing Design 1999, and are designed to highlight the impressive standards achieved by the Scottish construction industry.

The CIOB and the Saltire Society have worked together closely for a number of years encouraging the quality of Scotland's contribution to the construction industry and promoting change for the better. Colin North, Regional Director for CIOB Scotland, advocates that "management skills within the Scottish industry are among the best in the world".

Following a comprehensive selection process in respect of each of the nominated sites the CIOB would like to offer its congratulations to the following companies: Hart Builders (Edinburgh) Ltd (Morgan Court, Edinburgh); C.M. Welsh Building Services (Bemersyde, nr Melrose); John Dickie Construction (Moffatt Gardens, Glasgow); J.B. Bennett (Contracts) Ltd (Dumbarton Road, Glasgow); Stewart Milne Construction (Kity Brewster Square, Aberdeen).
