The institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (ISCE) has launched a quarterly journal. ISCE is the professional society concerned with all professional aspects of communication by sound. An important element of its mission is to bring to a wider audience an understanding of the technical and legislative requirements to be met if voice alarm systems are to be effective. The institute has been running training seminars and meetings on all aspects of sound for many years. The journal is published on behalf of the ISCE by PCR Publishing Ltd, whose directors are senior members of the institute.

The journal, which is in A4 format, carries a wide range of technical articles of interest to architects, services engineers, building control officers, leisure managers, insurance companies and fire officers and indeed anyone who finds themselves making decisions in this field. Annual subscription has been set at £35 (four issues).
