New system tracks compliance and regulatory training

Article Type: Notes and news From: Industrial and Commercial Training, Volume 41, Issue 6

GreenStone Farm Credit Services (FCS), which claims to be Michigan’s largest agricultural lender, has introduced a new system to launch, manage and track compliance and regulatory training for both online and classroom-based curricula.

With more than 17,500 members and 37 branches throughout Michigan and Wisconsin, GreenStone FCS provides financial services to the agricultural industry – including short, intermediate and long-term loans, equipment and building leases, life and crop insurance, accounting and tax services, and appraisal services.

Diane Miller, manager of training and development said:

Now all of our internal and external courses can be managed and tracked within one system. We have been able to see a return on our investment since purchasing the LearnCenter platform. Our training expenditures have been reduced significantly because our once-exclusively-live instructor-led compliance and regulatory training courses have been posted online for on-demand access, thus eliminating the need for travel and employee downtime. What once had to be done manually and in classrooms can now be done self-pace and the scores and transcripts are automatically tracked.

Our next step is to integrate it with our HR software, and job profiles with job competencies. Then we will launch proficiency examinations
