This special issue on “Uses of frontier efficiency methodologies and multi-criteria decision making for performance measurement in the energy sector” has been edited by Dr Ali Emrouznejad and Dr William Ho – both from Aston Business School of Aston University. We are particularly thankful to the guest editors for their hard work in putting together this issue from the papers received for consideration under this theme. Their rigorous planning and management of the entire process starting with the call for papers to the final delivery of outputs was exemplary. This issue would not be possible just ahead of schedule without their tremendous effort.
We also thank the reviewers and the authors who have submitted their works, revised them – in some cases a number of times and yet met the deadline. We also thank those authors whose works could not be published in this issue and hope that they would continue to support us in the future.
