More cargo

KLM Cargo has joined Cargo Portal Services (CPS), the multi-carrier booking and Cargo 2000 shipment management service operated by Unisys. “We see electronic interfaces as key to delivering the most cost-effective and efficient services and to differentiating our delivery performance”, said Bram Graber, VP Commercial, KLM Cargo. CPS, an electronic booking and Cargo 2000-accredited shipment management service, was designed in cooperation with major carriers and forwarders, and is operated by Unisys. The system offers transportation services from 350 cities in 85 countries through the global cargo networks of Air Canada, Austrian Airlines, KLM, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines. Access to CPS is free for forwarders, both through the public Internet and through secure system-to-system connections. CPS serves more than 1,300 branch offices of 715 forwarding companies in 31 countries.
