Modern but obsolete
My wife recently tried to get a replacement battery for her mobile phone. Retailers almost laughed at the thought that anyone would choose this route rather than go for a newer, sexier phone. However, my wife likes both the size and the user interface of her current phone; she doesn’t want a second-rate camera, an MP3 player, a portable games machine – just a phone. The battery won’t hold its charge, so a new battery is the obvious choice. We eventually found one from an after-market, third-party provider, so they are available! This has been a public service announcement.
