Back to the future
Office furniture supplier Curtis has reported a “back to basics” move with a resurgence of old-fashioned office styling. The company claims that with the introduction of new flat screen and cordless technology, there has been a re-emergence of demand for rectangular desks. In the past, larger curved workstations were necessary to meet the regulated eye to screen distance when using standard sized monitors. The new flat screens allow firms to go back to “old style” rectangular desks and allow them to use office space far more cost effectively.
