PowerDsine, a pioneer of Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, today announced availability of its new PD67000 Power over ethernet DIMM family, based on its PD64012 PoE Manager. The PD67000 family of products enables switch designers to quickly and easily PoE-enable their new and existing lines of ethernet switches, Potentially saving time and money, while retaining the flexibility of using the same switch for PoE and non-PoE implementations.

The new PowerDsine PD67000 family, in comparison to previous generations, reduces the number of PoE modules required for a 48-port solution from seven to two, enabling a single switch design to support 12, 24, 36 or 48 ports, with minimal space requirements.
