The truth
In the building in which I work, someone is doing some (re-)construction work about four or five floors below mine. The noise is dill, unremitting and very annoying. I am sure my productivity has dropped by at least 15 per cent. I remember as a spotty youth being told about the importance of the working environment in promoting safe and effective working. Too often, it seems, I am reminded of that!
