A good view
Viewlocity has announced that its product has become the basis of a cargo management supply chain solution for Australia-based multi-modal logistics provider, port operator and freight forwarder, Patrick Ports.
Patrick’s Cargo Management solution provides Patrick with integrated supply chain processes spanning several business units. The solution also enables collaboration with freight forwarding agents, customs brokers, and import/exporter agents for command and control of the end-to-end supply chain. The system has been in production since January 2004 and Patrick is already realising operational benefits and improved customer satisfaction levels.
Patrick Ports has recently undergone an acquisition-driven expansion, and a key business objective has been to provide an integrated logistics service across operations.
Based on its successful SCEM implementation for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines (WWL) in Australia, WWL has selected Viewlocity to provide visibility and supply chain event management capabilities to WWL’s global automotive customers, across finished vehicle distribution processes. Expected benefits include faster and more accurate distribution of vehicles.
