Schenker has recently opened a new terminal at the Schenker Logistics Park in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The Park has just been certified according to TAPA’s Freight Security Requirements for securing theft-endangered goods.
The terminal was built up from a part of the existing warehouses, and offers 14 moving platforms and a total 1,000 m2 of floor area. All platforms are equipped with height levellers, which allows servicing trailers and trucks of any type and height.
The facility is equipped with bar-code readers and label printers, enabling easier and faster tracking of shipments within the Schenker network. Operating 24 hours a day, the terminal links international operations and national distribution and offers direct access to the warehouse.
