Who shares the rewards?

The median hourly wage for American workers has declined by about 2 per cent since 2003 in real terms (after factoring in inflation). This is at a time when the economy has been growing steadily and some parts of the population (somewhat higher up the food chain) have been doing rather nicely, thank you. The drop is particularly notable – and ironic – because productivity – the amount that the average worker produces in an hour - has risen steadily over the same period.
