India's manufacturing economy continues to strengthen with business conditions improving steadily. Further gains in output and new orders over the last six months have led companies in the sector to expand their input purchases and replenish their raw material stocks. Meanwhile, workforces have been largely maintained, suggesting that manufacturers are raising productivity to process new business.
