Students need to learn about productivity

Article Type: News From: International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, Volume 61, Issue 2

One of The Philippines Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards, together with the Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) have formed a partnership to promote productivity to students and would-be-entrants to the labour force.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to instil basic productivity values among students making them aware of such, practice them and put them to use when they join the world-of-work was signed by representatives of both organisations and the Regional Director of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

The MOA will lead to promotion of DOLE programs to in-school-youth (ISY) organisations such as: Youth Entrepreneurship Support (YES), Youth Entrepreneurship – Youth Employability (YE-YE), Summer Program for Employment of Students (SPES) and other programs encouraging entrepreneurship among the youth.
