Change of name for MCB University Press

Leading international management journal and online management information publishing group, MCB University Press has changed its name to Emerald. The move reflects the significant success of the company's existing Emerald brand, which leads the field in the supply of online full text articles, and the company's plans to position itself for significant international growth. The move also allows the company to devote considerable resource to its widely successful and popular collaborative partnership programme where libraries benefit from tailored subscription services by forging long-term partnerships with Emerald.

At the same time Emerald announced the launch of the new Library Link site. The aim of Library Link remains the same – to facilitate the global dissemination of information for librarians. Based on direct feedback from the library community the new site has been radically revamped to reflect the current issues and professional concerns preoccupying the minds of the information professionals.

New features of the site include:

  • a brand new look;

  • new search facility, making it easier and quicker to find relevant information;

  • more focused content – three vital subject areas;

  • free access to key articles from the Emerald database;

  • re-positioned site allowing easier access to Emerald free trials, alerting services library resources, consortia information, etc.; and

  • improved navigation.

Members of Library Link will benefit from the following:

  • free online articles – from Emerald Fulltext;

  • monthly e-mail newsletter;

  • advance notice of Library Link workshops;

  • free personal access for six months to Emerald reviews – information management and technology abstracts; and

  • entry into the quarterly free prize draw.
