New managing director for Kuwait Petroleum (GB)
Alessandro (Sandro) Gilotti has been appointed as managing director of Kuwait Petroleum (GB), replacing Owen Jenkins, who retired in December.
Gilotti (42), who holds a Master's degree in industrial economics, previously co-ordinated the lubricants activity within Kuwait Petroleum International Ltd. He has extensive European commercial and petroleum experience working for Esso and American Express and has been appointed as a result of his broad background working within the retail, marketing, lubricants and information systems departments of Kuwait Petroleum SpA, based in Rome.
Gilotti comments:
The UK is one of the largest and most important markets in Europe, with Kuwait Petroleum being one of the smaller players in this highly competitive environment. I look forward to continuing to introduce new products and services for our customers, on the forecourt, in the fleet sector and through our commercial base, as well as developing the Q8 brand into the next millennium.
