Vogel launch new UK subsidiary operation

Vogel launch new UK subsidiary operation

As part of a global expansion, Willy Vogel AG have launched a wholly owned UK subsidiary, Vogel Ltd. Vogel is internationally recognised for its expertise in centralised lubrication systems, principally for commercial vehicles, and in industrial pumps for specialist application.

Vogel Ltd will market a full range of centralised chassis lubrication systems for trucks, buses, tractor trailers and off-road equipment, plus the Vogel Spandau pump range. Complementary products, such as the Vogel ATS-5 automatic engine oil top-up system and the Orlaco range of heavy-duty commercial vehicle cameras are also available from Vogel Ltd.

The new, direct UK operation has been set up to cater for the rapidly growing British customer base, to improve service to OEM customers and support aftermarket suppliers.

Managing director, Roger Hamilton, has put together a highly professional, principally British team chosen for their specialist skills, and extensive industry experience. A regional sales manager network is supported by full head office technical support from the Kenilworth, Warwickshire headquarters. Warehouse and service facilities are complemented by an in-house training school for distributors and agents.

Also available direct from this new, UK subsidiary is the internationally acclaimed Vogel Spandau Pump range.

The standard Spandau range includes electric immersion pumps, high-pressure pumps, block pumps and gear pumps, plus a range of liquid supply units and reservoirs. 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-pole or variable speed motors can all be specified, as can configurations in closely matched combinations of materials from nickel-chromium steel to highly specialised non-metallic composites.

In addition, Vogel can supply pumps developed in association with the customer for special applications.

The Vogel name is synonymous with German quality. Over 60 years' research, testing and development has ensured long life, high reliability and a low noise level. High efficiency is also assured thanks to features that include computer-optimised impellers and low current consumption. Each pump is backed by a 12-month warranty.

While Spandau Pumps are designed for a wide range of general engineering applications, they are especially noted for their performance in extreme temperature conditions and corrosive, aggressive and abrasive media.

Spandau specialities, such as high-pressure coolant pumps and seal-less immersion pumps with a free-floating shaft can be used for fluids contaminated with particles with very little wear and no danger of damage if they run dry.

Typical Spandau pump industry applications include: machine tools; general engineering; plant maintenance; coolant supply and treatment; filling, degreasing, washing and filtration; refrigeration; liquefied gas; air-conditioning; overhead spraying; chemical; dental, photographic and laboratory equipment; furnace construction; brewing and water industries.
