Filter design cuts changeover time

Keyword: Filters

Contaminated filter elements can be replaced without disconnecting associated pipework and fittings using a new system from Bournemouth Industrial Supplies. The hassle of changeover can be further reduced by opting for a double length chamber that incorporates two elements, offering longer service intervals and higher flow capacity.

The stainless steel filter unit is designed for maximum 50L/min flows and 420 bar. To change the element, the system is depressurised, before the double ball valve assembly is removed together with filter assemblies.

A visual clogging indicator shows when differential pressure has reached 7 bar. This gives plenty of warning that changeover is needed before the design threshold of 30 bar is reached. Overall, the range offers filtration from 3 to 50 micron with either 30 or 210 bar differential rating.
