The world's most chemically resistant perfluoroelastomer extends its upper temperature capability

Keyword: Perfluoroelastomer

Chemraz 605 is a new grade of Greene, Tweed's high performance perfluoro-elastomer which has been formulated for higher temperature service than Chemraz 505 grade.

605 exhibits much higher physical properties giving rise to better permeation resistance than other Chemraz compounds.

These improved characteristics have been achieved whilst maintaining exceptional chemical resistance. Chemraz 505 and 605 offer compatibility to more chemicals than any other perfluoroelastomer. Experience to date with this new compound has proved its capability to operate successfully in a Dowtherm at 260oC and in hot amines at 235oC. It is also suitable for custom applications and has been used for check valve seals and diaphragm applications where its high modulus and propensity to resist abrasion and tearing make it preferable to other perfluoroelastomers on the market.
