Interchange guide

When replacing tapered roller bearings, the "Interchange guide" is a searchable database which makes it easy to find Timken bearing solutions equivalent to those of other manufacturers. Designed for speed, precision and ease-of-use, this comprehensive tool also offers the ability to identify bearings using dimensional or series criteria. A built-in function allows the search results to be filtered at any time to find the optimum solution. Typically, it allows distribution personnel handling a telephone inquiry from an end-user to quickly narrow the options and pinpoint the proper choice of replacement bearing. Extended phone calls or return calls are eliminated, thus reducing service response time, improving efficiency and lowering costs.

The guide's extensive database includes over 10,000 reference entries from seven different tapered roller bearing manufacturers. Search results are quickly displayed on the screen, simply by entering all or part of a reference code, and selecting the manufacturer. A dimensional search can also be made by entering relevant information, such as bearing type, bore and diameters. The list of matching solutions can be sorted, saved or printed.
