Mead Pneumatics presented several key new products at Manufacturing Week this year. These included the new 4000 series ISO cylinders, available in 32-100 bore sizes. The 4000 series will be assembled in a brand new purpose built facility at Mead's Burgess Hill plant, offering 24-hour delivery of standard strokes and bore sizes.

In addition, Mead presented its award-winning isonic valve line, including a new series of network drivers compatible with a wide range of bus systems.

The Uni-Selector valve range now includes new 5/2 valve types, used in a wide range of applications, where a single input signal produces an alternating output (for extending and retracting a cylinder, for example).

Mead's capabilities in the field of custom system design were illustrated by a number of high-quality engineered products recently undertaken by Mead's Engineering Group.

Mead have always been market leaders, it is claimed, in the development of plastic products for pneumatic control, and the new series of manually operated 5/2 6 mm ported valves, suitable for a wide range of applications in the industrial and transport markets, were on display.
