The new TRIM® aqueous washing compounds from Master Chemical Europe are formulated to remove coolants and oils from machined parts while setting new standards for cleanliness, recyclability, low cost and waste minimisation (see Plate 13). TRIM®‚ wash fluids are claimed to retain their independent power for longer, even after four months, and to be effective at significantly lower temperatures than other brands, whereas most other wash fluids require changing after two weeks. The range is entirely water-based and although principally formulated to wash coolants and straight oils from parts and machines, the TRIM®‚ CLEAN range is also effective on soiling by greases, buffing compounds and tapping paste.
