£2 million expansion for Stuart Oil
Keyword Stuart Oil
Stuart Oil has signed a contract for a £2 million expansion at its Wolverhampton plant. Work has already started on an extension to the production facilities, which should be completed by December, and stage two involves demolition of existing buildings and the erection of new warehousing, which will be fully operational by the end of 1999. Stuart Oil is one of the UK's leading lubricants specialists and recently gained ISO 9001 accreditation for quality standards in product design. The building work is being carried out by Speller-Metcalf, of Cradley, Malvern, who will also be in charge of the management of the project.
Stuart Oil has also recently won a prestigious environmental award from East Midlands Electricity. Together with Leominster company Arbour Tech, it was presented with the business energy award for its unique sterilising system which controls micro-biological contamination in machine coolants for the metalworking industry. The system works by the controlled dosing of silver and copper ions directly into the machine coolants, and is already being tested by major manufacturers.
