Partnership signals introduction of total package for machine users

BP Industrial Lubricants has entered into a new partnership with Conserve Consolidated Ltd to offer its customers a complete parts supply and maintenance package.

This is the latest modular service to come from BP and means that machinery users in all sectors will have access to a "one stop shop" as far as the purchase of spare parts and running of machinery is concerned.

Conserve has outstanding relationships with leading OEMs and can therefore obtain machine parts quickly and at a highly competitive rate. For the customer this means that time spent sourcing supplies and waiting for distributors to deliver is eliminated.

Additional benefits include cost savings, minimal downtime and a reduced inventory as parts suppliers are consolidated into one. The service also enables manufacturers to utilise valuable storage space which was previously needed to house a large supply of parts.

However, this is just part of the complete service on offer. BP and Conserve can then take responsibility for running machines efficiently with a dedicated condition monitoring programme to ensure optimal production performance.

Offering a very flexible service, BP and Conserve can be called in to deal with specific problems. If for example a specific machine part is wearing unevenly, this highly specialised diagnostic service will identify the cause of the problem using advanced techniques such as vibration analysis, infrared thermal imaging and airborne ultrasonics.

Alternatively more and more companies are now realising that prevention is better than cure and certainly a lot less costly. Here BP and Conserve will carry out a full machinery and lubricant audit. The resulting report highlights any potential problem areas and provides recommendations to prevent costly repairs and clean-up.

Piers Dickinson, BP Industrial Lubricants Communications Manager said: "This service will make a tremendous difference to manufacturers. Not only will they be able to obtain spare parts at the best rates but they can be assured with the condition monitoring service that these will last their expected lifetime".
