Name change signals new era at NSK

On 1 January 2001 the name of "NSK-RHP" was changed to "NSK" in every operation in the world, further strengthening the NSK global corporate identity. NSK Ltd acquired RHP (formerly UPI) in March 1990 and since then has invested heavily in restructuring the RHP manufacturing facilities in Europe, and integrating NSK and RHP sales and marketing channels and resources globally to establish NSK-RHP. These changes have enabled NSK-RHP to provide more customers with a wider range of products and services whilst at the same time improving service levels through greater efficiency.

Over the same period NSK world-wide has enjoyed considerable growth and has developed as a truly global supplier of bearings, automotive components and precision products.

Mr Seiichi Asaka, Chief Executive of NSK-RHP Europe Ltd, said, "As we move into the twenty-first century the drive to improve customer service continues, and NSK Ltd now believes it is time to bring all of its operations world-wide under the name 'NSK'. However, the RHP bearings brand will continue to be manufactured and actively marketed world-wide by the NSK Group".
