The "Quick Change" 47S6 is the latest sample filter from Balston, designed to protect expensive analyser equipment from contaminant damage (see Plate 7). Usually mounted in a horizontal orientation, the bowl can be unscrewed and the element changed without breaking the line or affecting the connections and fittings. The Quick Change makes for faster and more convenient element change so cutting costly downtime.

Able to filter either gases or liquids, the Balston Quick Change is an attractive option for petrochem and other heavy industrial and chemical applications. Of stainless steel construction, this compact filter, measuring just 4cm x 9cm, will withstand high pressures (up to 103 barg) and give unimpaired performance in temperatures of up to 204°C.

Inlet, outlet and drain ports are located in the head and the unit incorporates an additional port for optional pressure testing. A variety of filter cartridges of varying construction are available for the 47S6, to provide the most effective solution for any particular application. These all provide the same key benefits: complete removal of solid/liquid impurities from gas samples; removal of solids and gas bubbles from liquid samples; all the cartridges contain an environmentally-friendly, non-contaminating disposable filter element; and all minimise pressure drop.
