Uniqema, the global specialty chemicals business of ICI, announced the appointment of new Global vice-presidents at two of its strategic business units. The changes took effect from the end of March 2001.

Chris Siemer is appointed Global vice-president, Lubricants. Chris will succeed Elizabeth Walmsley, who is leaving ICI to pursue external opportunities. Chris Siemer was previously Global vice-president, Enterprise and is currently based in Europe. Chris will move with his family back to the USA later in 2001 and will be based at Uniqema's new offices in New Castle, DE.

Barbara Kunz is appointed Global vice-president, Enterprise to succeed Chris Siemer. She will also be based at New Castle, DE.

Uniqema's Enterprise business represents a portfolio of smaller, market focused businesses which includes Crop Protection, Oilfield, Polymer Additives, Specialty Cleaning, Fibre Finishes and Textile Auxiliaries. Barbara Kunz previously held the position of business director within Enterprise. Both Chris and Barbara will report to Antoine Fady, director Global Strategic Business Units at Uniqema.
