Shell launch a new interactive metalworking website

Shell Metalworking Europe has launched a comprehensive new website at http:\\www.shell.com/metalworking that includes everything you would expect and lot more. For example, there are regularly updated pages on Shell's involvement in motor racing, including the company's sponsorship of Ferrari and other racing teams, with Formula One news, team and driver profiles and race results. And visitors can compete in the Shell Helix Hotlap Challenge a six-lap race to beat the fastest times set by other on-line competitors (Plate 4).

Shell plans to develop the website as an interactive location where customers can exchangeg views, discuss problems, learn about new trends, etc. As well as information on the company, products etc., the site includes a number of extremely useful sections that will provide an essential reference for engineers involved in the metalworking industry.

"Troubleshooting" features Frequently Asked Questions and a table dealing with a variety of machine operating problems. "Applications" contains a comprehensive cross-reference of metalworking applications and recommended fluids. Services' covers areas such as product support, fluid management, training and HSSE. And "Contacts" provides helpdesk numbers and includes an extensive glossary of metalworking terms.
