Uniqema delivers improved fuel economy performance with launch of Perfad FM 3338

Uniqema has developed a new ashless friction modifier for the automotive industry, which will significantly help to increase the fuel economy performance.
The new product, Perfad FM 3338, has an oxidation stability, which is five times higher than the traditional ashless friction modifiers. This combined with a low friction coefficient can hugely improve fuel economy, particularly for short trips.
Tests have shown that by using just one per cent of Perfad FM 3338, wear rate is reduced by more than 50 per cent. It is also easy to formulate into common base stocks and will not poison exhaust gas treatment systems.
