New energy efficiency logo for the Mobil DTE 10 Excel series of hydraulic oils

Considering customers’ increasing awareness and requests for energy efficiency data on their lubricants, the ExxonMobil marketing and technology teams behind Mobil Industrial Lubricants have taken the market leading step of clearly identifying those Mobil-branded products that demonstrate measurable energy efficiency benefits. The association of a new energy efficiency symbol will help customers and builders identify and select these Mobil Industrial Lubricants to support their efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs versus ExxonMobil’s standard hydraulic lubricants in a given application. Energy efficiency relates solely to the fluid performance when compared to ExxonMobil’s standard hydraulic fluids. The technology used allows up to 6 percent increase in hydraulic pump efficiency compared to Mobil DTE 20 series when tested in standard hydraulic applications. The energy efficiency claim for this product is based on test results on the use of the fluid conducted in accordance with all applicable industry standards and protocols. The new logo will appear on Mobil DTE 10 Excel, a new category of hydraulic oils, which provides outstanding performance benefits but also has energy efficient credentials. Mobil DTE 10 Excel series not only exceeds current standards of hydraulic oil performance but can also help to deliver energy savings versus ExxonMobil’s conventional hydraulic oils, leading to improved machinery performance with increased productivity (Figure 2).
